Dr Emsie Fuhri
BEd(hons), MEd(Educational Psychology), PhD

Emsie Fuhri is a registered Educational Psychologist at the Health Counsel of South Africa (PS 0124354). She also has an Honours degree in Pre-Primary Education (Management and Policy) at the University of Pretoria and a Masters Degree in Educational Psychology from UNISA. She is currently doing her Doctorate at the University of South Africa on the theme of a Teachers guide to handling and disciplining the emotionally broken child.

Emsie has 4 years of teaching experience and has been an Educational Psychologist in private practise for the last 6 years. Through her private practise she works with multiple schools all over Pretoria as well as private clients at her office in Wonderboom South.

Emsie is fully bilingual and renders services in Afrikaans and English.

What is an Educational Psychologist?

An Educational Psychologist diagnose, assess and treat children and adolescents. An Educational Psychologist can provide insight into all aspects of a child’s development and learning. The goal of an Educational Psychologist is to facilitate the child in develping his psychological well-being and to ensure that every child reaches his/her full potential in social, behavioural, emotional and academic areas.

Costs, Fees and Payment

Since every child is unique, sessions are planned according to the child's need and the individual circumstances of the family.

Emsie’s practice is registered with the Board of Healthcare Funders (BHF) and accepts medical aid payments. Sessions are charged at medical aid tariffs.

Private clients has the option to pay by EFT of credit card at Emsie's offices.
